Lonnie G’s smooth, unique, vocal style captures the audience while delivering a memorable experience every time! Since 1991 he has established himself as an R&B artist who is known worldwide for his dedication not only to his craft but also for his contributions to community service. He is well-known in the radio industry and is sought after by producers and promoters.
His early career started with him becoming a member of the group, Soul Sensations. This led him to form his own group, Pick Of The Litter. They went on to record the powerful hit single, “The Many Sides of Love”.
After a great run with The Pick Of The Litter, Lonnie decided to move on, literally, to Michigan. There he quickly became a staple bassist for the legendary Westbound Label. He went full force as a solo artist, lending his talents as the opening act for artists such as The Floaters, The Detroit Emeralds, Patrice Rushen, War, The Temptations Revue, Featuring Dennis Edwards, The Friends of Distinction, Blues Legend, Buddy Guy, Bobby Rush, Lattimore, and many more.
Lonnie G is often described as a top-notch entertainer and his reputation has afforded him the opportunity of being nominated to the Chicago Chapter of The National Black Radio Hall of Fame. Spreading love and joy, he has toured the Philippine Islands, Tokyo, and of course here at home in Tennessee, Arkansas, Las Vegas, Michigan, Florida, Wisconsin, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Indiana.
